Acts as the principal Utility Accountant for Aqua Engineers directly reporting to the Controller; responsible for the development, negotiation, management, and monitoring of cost proposals for regulated and non-regulated utility contracts. Serves as the primary interface with the contracts; including contract interpretations and modifications. Uses established Company procedures in order to ensure compliance with all contract provisions and to verify the fulfillment of the Company’s contractual requirements.

Pay Range: $40.10 - $50.20 per hour
An annual incentive bonus with an earning potential of 12% of base pay.

- Acts as the Utility Accountant for regulated utilities
- Manages the billing and collection functions for utility clients
- Provides additional professional support to the accounting function

- Possesses extensive knowledge in the theory and practices of accounting, typically acquired through completion of bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance.
- Possesses knowledge and understanding of GAAP, accounting theory and practices, job cost accounting and FARS31 principles.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of applied accounting practices at a level typically associated with a CPA or CMA.
Technical Skills:
- Has the ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables and other standard spreadsheet elements.
- Has the ability to perform more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of accounting software, as well as any other software used by the department.
- Has the ability to develop sophisticated presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the use of embedded objects, transitions and other elements.
Licenses & Certifications:
- None.

- Compiles, analyzes and prepares information in an effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation.
- Communicates complex and/or technical information to co-workers and others.
- Exercises tact and diplomacy in the resolution of mild conflicts or disagreements.
